Dr. Sumit Basu is a consultant Radiation oncologist in Pune. He has more than 20 years of experience in this field. He is one of the renowned and Cancer Specialist in Pune. After graduating in medicine from St. Petersburg University, Russia in 1991, Dr Basu received training in Radiation and Clinical Oncology from Tata Memorial Center, Mumbai, from September 1994 to March 1999.
He received advanced training in Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) techniques from Christiana Care Hospitals, USA and Henry Ford Cancer Center, Detroit, USA. He is also vastly experienced in the use of Stereotactic techniques of radiation planning and delivery, intracranial (SRS/SRT) as well as extracranial (SBRT).
